SIM swapping and port-out fraud can be fatal to your personal information. The FCC is looking for new rules to amend for the tightening security around your data and phones in order to prevent the sim swapping and port out frauds in which fraudsters can access the personal information and phone number for nefarious purposes. The agency revealed that it has received numerous complaints from the consumers and has suffered financial harm and significant distress due to this. Sim swapping is when someone hijacks your phone number to interfere with the two-factor authentication code(which you use to verify login access or account access). The anonymous access the phones and sends the data to the other device without the user's consent and permissions and they even won't know that their data are exposed. Port-out fraud occurs when the fraudsters open an account with different cell phone carriers than the victims and has the victim's phone number transferred to the new account wi...

What if you could know the unknowns behind the screen?

Everyone is quite curious in today's world about everything and wants to jump into the deepest of it possible but due to some restrictions or maybe it's not in their control so they limit themselves as the first layer of everything only. In the current era, data and privacy is the heatest topic across the globe. Everyone is concerned about it. Since we are going digital and needed to share our details with the companies one is always a bit scared about their data that might be misused and that's true somewhere. Almost more than half of the world's total population are right now using the internet and are present on several social media sites where they share their real info so that each one of them can be identified by their friends or knowns but what about if someone is using fake information and is trying to be someone else behind one end. Here our mind sparks that how would they be looking or who it would be in real. But we failed to recognize them and we either ignore them or let them go until they harm us.

It's quite obvious to think about it and take an action against it but we are limited to some ends that we can only use or control our own ends and nothing beyond it. Many times you would have encountered that your friends try to prank you through being someone else. Actually, if we see it's a crime to use someone else's identity but the platform is so vast that it's hard for a common being to trace and get trapped. It's a big issue. Somewhere we can also not know where is the data being stored and they are untraceable. These things are beyond of common being but somewhere daily one might be thinking about his privacy and safeguards on the internet as it's not safe. But nothing's safe in this world either it's the offline or online world but somewhere if we see online is more harmful than offline as it is harming the one without letting the person being known about it.

But have you ever thought about the technology if we could know about who is beyond your screen without any hard speculations? Yes, nothing's impossible in this world but before developing any such technologies we have to think the much of the disadvantages than the advantages and then further action can be taken against it. If e could really know who is behind the screen it would be easy to grab their grab anyone's data even if they are not the fake ones. But what about the fake ones? Ahh! We need to not take care of it as we have certain controls which we can do at our own ends like blocking them or restricting them so they won't access you anymore through that id particularly. We can also report them and the companies responsible for it take action against it if your thought is genuine. Also, there's a concern of recreating the id and might be approached through it then what should one do. If you think it's your friend or someone knew who is trying to prank you then you can chill or else you might go to the cyber communities for your help and they can trace the data about the one who is behind the screen but in reality, we tried to avoid and one more important thing which one should know that the virtual world is really fake and one should never trust blindly on it.

Now building the technology to what we think is not a big deal but it's harmful to us only and we could never be safe as we were earlier so try to avoid yourself from social sites sharing your confidential to it as much as possible and also try to be not available everywhere as it can be harmful to the confidential of the one. No one knows how strong is the security of that social site or to what extent it concerns your privacy.

So as per the current situation, it is dangerous to build any such type of technology advancement where our privacy may leak to each other. Although we are not safe to this extent also but still more than what we've discussed in the whole article. Put your ideas on what do you think about them in the comment section below it. Thanks for reading! Share it with your folks. Peace ✌.
