SIM swapping and port-out fraud can be fatal to your personal information. The FCC is looking for new rules to amend for the tightening security around your data and phones in order to prevent the sim swapping and port out frauds in which fraudsters can access the personal information and phone number for nefarious purposes. The agency revealed that it has received numerous complaints from the consumers and has suffered financial harm and significant distress due to this. Sim swapping is when someone hijacks your phone number to interfere with the two-factor authentication code(which you use to verify login access or account access). The anonymous access the phones and sends the data to the other device without the user's consent and permissions and they even won't know that their data are exposed. Port-out fraud occurs when the fraudsters open an account with different cell phone carriers than the victims and has the victim's phone number transferred to the new account wi...

AI cameras allowing only smiling employees in office

Image
Canon China has installed AI smile recognition technique in its offices to detect whether the employees are happy or not.   Representational Image Canon is known for its experiment in imaging technology and products. This is also famous for producing futuristic devices. According to the reports Canon is using AI techniques to detect the happiness of employees. They have installed this in their China offices to identify employees with smiling faces and then only allowing them to enter. This is designed to ensure that the employees are 100% happy. This is not the sole reason. The Chinese companies have decided to keep track of their employees and we all are very well aware of China's surveillance system which keeps track of its residents on each and every move. Further, it is also known that the employees will be tracked for every movement they are making. This is the worst initiative or whatever I don't know what to say because it's simply an invader to someone's privacy...

The samples will land in Utah in September 2023. NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft captured this image of the asteroid Bennu on April 29, 2020. The probe began the long journey back toward Earth on May 10, 2021.   (Image credit: NASA/Goddard/University of Arizona) NASA's first asteroid sampling mission is trailing its space-rock bounty home. The OSIRIS-REx probs  began heading for earth on 10th May 2021 which is 2.3 Billion Kms away from the Earth. This will land in the Utah desert grabbing asteroid samples.  The $800 million OSIRIS-REx mission was launched in September 2016 and arrived at the 1650 foot wide Bennu in December 2018. It gathered a huge amount of asteroid dirt and gravel. The members of the team have planned to estimate the mass by spinning maneuver with the spacecraft shortly after the collection of samples. But the maneuver would have caused more Bennu bits to escape; so OSIRIS-REx stored the stuff in its return capsule without doing the spin move. Don't ...
